WalkBikeMarin's Summer eNewsletter is Sizzling!

Posted: 2012-08-28

Hot off the press and onto the paths of Marin - enjoy WalkBikeMarin's August eNewsletter

The August, 2012 WalkBikeMarin (WBM) eNewsletter is now available! See the latest edition of the Federal Highway Administration's bi-monthly magazine, Public Roads, where you'll find WBM featured, as well as the three other pilot communities across the nation selected as nonmotorized transportation pilot program (NTPP) funding recipients. The strategic investments -- some large and technically complicated -- filled gaps in the existing nonmotorized network and also supported connections to transit to accommodate bicyclists and walkers with long commutes.

Plus, check out the Strawberry Safe Routes to Schools sidewalk/driveway/pathway project, which will be completed this month.Learn about the County of Marin's Bicycle Parking Program which has approved/installed 1,750 parking spaces countywide since 2007!

As always, get more information on all bicycle and pedestrian projects in Marin at
http://www.walkbikemarin.org/.   Join WBM for Biketoberfest Saturday, October 13th, 2012 in downtown Fairfax and find out about all current NTPP activities and projects!
