One year ago, hundreds of enthusiastic pedestrians, bicyclists, and transportation officials gathered at the south portal of the Cal Park Tunnel to celebrate its opening. We encourage everyone to ride or walk through the tunnel to celebrate this wonderful accomplishment that provides a safe and enjoyable way to travel between San Rafael and Larkspur. 

2011 Project Achievement Awards

The Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), Northern California Chapter 2011 Project Achievement Awards were presented at the April 20 Gala. This program was created in accordance with the CMAA mission to promote excellence and professionalism in construction management.

And the winner in the Transportation / Transit Up To $20M category was: The County of Marin Department of Public Works' CAL PARK HILL TUNNEL!  DPW's new interim Capital Projects Manager, Pat Echols, was in attendance at the awards, and is pictured (on the right) here with Jacobs Associates' Staff Engineers Erin Clarke and Ryan McCarter.
