May 15th 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Benefit film screening at The Marin Youth Center In San Rafael

"With My Own Two Wheels"

Join us for an evening celebrating the bicycle as a vehicle for change locally and globally on Sunday, May 15th.  Festivities kick off @ 6:30pm with a reception (food provided by Sol Food) and continue with the Marin premier of "With My Own Two Wheels."  Check out WithMyOwnTwoWheels.org

Proceeds from the event will benefit two local projects:  The Bicycle Works! and Women on Wheels, a new program of MCBC to support women cycling.  Women on Wheels aims to increase the number of women cycling by offering classes for novices who have never ridden, those who want to improve bike handling and confidence in traffic, and moms who wish to ride and teach their children.

The film will be followed by a Q&A with the films producer/director Jacob Seigel-Boettner, the founding director of The Bicycle Works Jelani Bertoni, and the lead instructor of Women on Wheels Cheryl Longinotti.  The evening will be moderated by Deb Hubsmith, the founder of Safe Routes to Schools. Tickets will be $12 in advance at The Bicycle Works and $15 at the door on May 15th.

The Marin Youth Center, located at 1115 Third Street in San Rafael.
